My Birthday Suprise

~Us with the babies in Venice~
So, this week Mike told me that we had plans for my birthday. I was not allowed to make plans for the 16th, 17th or 18th. (My birthday is the 19th) I was so excited but could not figure out what in was. He was giving me hints all along. He said:

1. It was good, better than a massage at the spa

2. I did not have to get all dressed up

3. We would be in Hampton Roads

4. I would not find it on the Internet

5. It was not expensive

6. Sullivan was going to be fine and would be with us

7. We were spending the night at home

8. We would be together most of the time

Hum...my ideas were a whale watching trip or spending some days at Great Wolf Lodge. I really did not think that was what it was but I just was clueless. One of my bestest, dearest girlfriends, Allison, called me yesterday and said she had to tell me what my birthday suprise was. She had called Mike earlier that week and wanted to come surprise me for my birthday! :) So they were talking all week and Allison, Colin and maybe Brian were coming up to surprise me for my birthday on the weekend before my birthday. What a wonderful surprise!!! Much better than I ever expected! Turns out Allison could not get the time off work and they are coming a different weekend, but we will celebrate and just enjoy being together! It has been so hard living so far away from them. We were so close in Sicily. They are our Sig family. There is an amazing bond that no one understands until you have been stationed overseas and made those special friends. We have watched each others kids grow and she loves mine as much as I love hers. Allison was also in labor and delivery with us when Sully was born and that was so so special. She is so wonderfully good to both Sully and Anna and is just an amazing person, and friend. I am so stinking excited about their visit. I can't wait to spend some quality time with them, for the little boys to play and I really hope Brian gets to come too. They are the first friends to visit us in Virginia Beach and I can't wait! I can already tell it will be one fabuolus birthday! I feel so special and Mike was right, it is better than a massage at the spa, but maybe we can do both. :)
