My sweet precious little Anna turned 10 yesterday! I can not believe how fast she is growing up. Anna is my step daughter. I love her dearly, I adore her. We have been fortunate enough to have had her every summer, even when we lived in Sicily. I met Anna when she was 34 months, almost 3! She was so stinking cute and sweet and I fell in love with her, immediately. She had curly little pigtail and little tiny Mike lips. Precious. I think that the day I met her and fell in love with her, my heart opened a little for her daddy too. Seeing them together was so sweet. You could see how much he adored her and how much she loved her daddy. Things have not changed with them. Anna was our flower girl in our wedding. She had a rough time that day, but not because she didn't love me. She loved me early on and has always had a respect for me. I am truly blessed. Through these 8 years, I have enjoyed having Anna as my little girl. I have missed her dearly and wished for her time and time again.

You know I love you! I hope your birthday is extra special! I can not believe you are ten already! You are such a beautiful girl with a beautiful spirit! God blessed me not only with your daddy but with you too. I only wish me were closer. One day...
Oh and your daddy thinks you are pretty stinking special too! If you could only hear his heart break when we drop you off or see his eyes light up when we are going to get you!
Oh and Sullivan, your baby brother...he talks about Sissy almost everyday. You are so special to him. He thinks you are the greatest! He tells me all the time that we need to go pick you up. I hope y'all will always have a special bond! It melts my heart to see the two of you love each other.
Anna, stay sweet and be good and know we love you to the moon and back....
No matter how old you get, you will always be our baby girl!
