On June 6th, my daddy turned 64. My father is an amazing man and it is the best feeling to see how he loves his grandkids. He is so protective of them and will do anything for them.
We decided to head to "the lake" for his birthday. Normally we would have been having a birthday party at home for Sullivan as well, but this time we decided to just celebrate Pop! We got there on Thursday evening around midnight. Sullivan slept most of the way after we ate but woke as we pulled in, so so happy to be there. This was the first trip that he asked us constantly, "Let's go to G.G. and Pop's house!" He just did not understand that it takes a while. G.G. of course had him a pile of prizes on his bed and he was hyped up and excited! After an hour of all the excitement we finally crashed....hard! We all slept until 9 am on Friday!
Friday was a beautiful day. Pop took the day off and we played by the water all day. My parents are testing out a boat to buy(I think they are going to get it!) so we took it out for ride, we swam and we played! Sullivan loves the boat. He calls it the "fast boat"! Anna will certainly enjoy it since she likes to get pulled on a tube! :) Zeke and Elliott came down on
Saturday ended up being a not so pretty, not so nasty day! Brett and Laurel arrived Saturday too! The sun came out later that afternoon and we started making skinny margaritas! We had a little birthday celebration for dad and gave him a grill with a Clemson cover and some grill utensils. WE cooked hamburgers and the fixins and had birthday cake! Mom even surprised Sully with a birthday cake of his own and he got his first birthday present of the year from Uncle Zeke, Aunt Brett, Laurel and Elliott! It was a good time! I love hanging with my family! Sunday we sadly headed back to VA. Oh wait....did I mention that Mike was sick the entire weekend with a temp?? Yep, it was not as good of a weekend for him. We were glad to get to be there to celebrate my daddy and we love the lake so....it was a good place to be sick I guess!

Okay, I think I need to be invited to the lake house. It looks like so much fun.
