My baby is officially 3

Today Sullivan turned 3! It was a much anticipated day for Sully and for Mike and I! We woke this morning just in time to get ready and head out to a play date! His presents from us as well as a card from the Georger's and a card from Noni were all sitting on our table. The deal was, he could open them when his daddy got home from work. I had to get him out of the house or we would both go crazy! He was ready to open NOW! Mind you, his 2 cards had been there since Sunday and he had insisted on waiting to open them ON his birthday! It was cute. He has more willpower than I do! Those suckers would have been open the minute they hit my hand!
So after looking at some baby pictures of Sully, out the door we went to play... We rode with Kerry and her boys to the play date. They were all excited it was Sullivan's birthday! Sully had on his birthday boy shirt and was so proud it was his day! He got many phone calls and well wishes throughout the day! Kerry and the boys even sang to him! Thank you all for making his birthday so special! We did not get home until around 4 pm and Mike was almost home too! We waited for him and when he got home, it was time for Sully to open his presents. He opened his cards first! Much love from the Georger's (he does not know it yet but they are also getting him the ESPN better batter! He is going to LOVE LOVE LOVE it!), a sweet card and some cash from Noni(hum....what shall we buy for him?) AND we got him a real set of golf clubs and a golf glove! He was so excited! He looks so so cute with his clubs! We decided to take him to the driving range but as we were pulling up it was raining and there was lightening and thunder. So...we decided to go eat first. Our good friends Kerry, JP and Ryan met us at Red Robin for a wild evening out! When I say wild, I mean the animals should be in cages wild! Mine included! Sullivan and Ryan were so hyped up! They were all excited but I have never seen the two young ones so crazy! They are lucky they are so stinking cute! JP was the easy one! They all ate grilled cheese sandwiches and the Red Robin came a by a few times! Then they sang to Sully and gave him a sundae! (which he only ate one bite) It was a good time and although the kids were nuts, it is so nice to see them so happy! We are so fortunate to have such good friends. They make it easier to like Virginia Beach! After saying goodbye we took Sully back to the driving range. OMGosh!!! He loved it! We hit 120 balls between the 3 of us! Sullivan only wanted to hit his driver which is a little heavy for him but...he thought it was BIG and therefore that is what he wanted to hit with and after all it is HIS birthday! He had a blast and was very upset when the balls were all gone! I think Mike will truly sleep with a smile on his face tonight and I am sure granddaddy Mike is smiling down on us today too! He loved golf so much. It is so nice to see Sullivan really loving it and wanting to play! (yes we do understand he is only3!) Now to take him to see a course...maybe this weekend. When I put him to bed tonight, and let me tell you he was exhausted, I held him tight as we talked and said our prayers. he told me he has such a good day! We are so so blessed. He has been such a joy to our lives. He makes us laugh every single day and is our absolute everything! Our happy days by far out weigh our bad moments. He is such a good kid and we are so so lucky to have him. Parenthood has been nothing like I expected! It has been a journey and adventure, an amazing time! Much, much better than I though it would be! I can not imagine life without my little guy and I thank God for him every day! I do not want to rush the time but I look forward to celebrating him when he turns 4 and 5 and 6... I love you little man, to the moon...and back! Happy Birthday...actually I think that this day is really about your daddy and I, after all, we got the best gift of all, You!
