Catching Up

I have been terrible at blogging.  Mostly due to being sooooo busy and the switch of computers.  So....here is a little of what has been going on here.  As you know, we bought a house on July 31. Mom and Anna came up and then Dad came up a few days later to help us move.  We wore them out.  We were a bit pooped ourselves.  We are thrilled to be new home owners just wish our money tree was in bloom.  Looks like it will not produce fruit this year.  Is this the fault of the bees???  Hum...  Dad hung around for a weekend and helped us here and there and then he had to head back to SC to work.  Thankd daddy for all your help!  Mom and Anna stayed a bit longer.  It was so wonderful having them both here.  My mother is an absolute work horse.  I think the neighbors think we have hired help.  She worked so hard and got so much done.  The house we bought sat for a year before it went on the market as a foreclosure.  It was in decent shape but did need some serious cleaning.  Cleaning she did.  And painting....and sanding and anything else that struck her fancy.  We were not ready to let her go.  Anna was here for 2 weeks and we so loved having her here.  Sullivan had his jealous bone struck but he will survive.  It was quite a transition for him and having to share attention with Anna was not OK with him.  He loves her so much but was quite hateful.  Broke my heart to pieces.  We took both kids to The Childrens Museum and Busch Gardens before Anna left.  It was a BLAST!!!  They both really had a good time.  We are now wishing for season tickets. (refer to the money tree comment)  Mike took Anna on a sweet date to the movies and dessert.  She got her har cut before they went out and even wanted to wear a dress.  They had such a nice time.  He brought her flowers and me some too.  We were so sad to say goodbye but like every year...we had too.  We miss her like crazy but can not wait until next summer when she can stay longer!
So much has been going on in the meantime...friends coming by to see our new house, birthday parties, photoshoots and we celebrated 5 years of marriage.  It was a sweet day.  We talked a lot about what we were doing 5 years ago and that evening we dropped Sully off at my sweet friend Jennifer's house.  Sully and Loni played and had a great time while we went out for a romantic evening.  We ate at Bone Fish Grill.  Had amazing wine, and a delicious meal.  It really was super yummy.  Afterwards we went to see a movie.  We saw The Time Travelers Wife.  It was OK.  Just being out together was just wonderful.  Thanks again Jennifer and Loni.   I still can not believe it has been 5 years.  Five wonderful years.  I am truely blessed to have such an amazing husband!  I look so forward to celebrating 50 years with him one day..while we watch our grandchildren play!  I can not believe it is already September.  Our first mortgage payment was due!  OUCH!  The playground is going up and then, Noni came to visit!  We have had a nice visit and this will be a blog post of it's own!  ;)  Stay tuned...I'm on a roll......Oh, house pictures to come too! ;)
