January 19, 2010 I turned 35. Not because I wanted to. No, I am not ready to be 35. Even though I was not happy with it I had a wonderful birthday full of lots of wishes and love. My husband and parents spoiled me as usual and my son was so stinking excited for my birthday! My parents gave me a photography workshop that was fantastic. I met a wonderful photographer at the workshop who is in this area who I have been communicating with but had never actually met. She was actually in Sig while we were there as well. Only drawback is that I was still sick. I had just been to the Dr and just started my antibiotics for a dreaded sinus infection. Anyway...
It is funny how we celebrate ourselves on our birthday and sometimes forget that we did not get here on our own. On my birthday I want to thank my Mom and Dad for giving me life, for wanting me and for loving me unconditionally. I understand your love now. Thank you for all the many sacrifices that you have made and continue to do so. I am ever so grateful for you both! Thank you for being wonderful examples and for being best friends. And, thank you for thinking I am special enough to give me a sibling! I love the family I came from and how it is growing! So, Happy MY Birthday Mom and Dad!!! Y'all should be celebrated too! Thirty five years ago y'all were the ones starting your perfect little family. I now know how special that day was and it was all about me!
