What a wonderful weekend! My brother and his family came up Friday to celebrate Halloween with us! When they got there Friday we had dinner and celebrated Elliott turning 4 with him since we could not be there for his birthday! And...we went to bed way too late. Saturday we all woke up late and barely made it to Sullivan's t-ball game in time. He felt so special having Uncle Zeke, Aunt Brett, Elliott and baby Laurel at his game cheering for him. After his game we picked up lunch and headed home to relax and watch the Tigers play. After a very disappointing game and a little snooze we got dressed, met the Downs family out front and headed to Olde Town Portsmouth for some safe trick or treating. Even though we got there a little early it turned out perfect. The kids did some trick or treating and when the crowds got huge, we sat down to eat dinner and I enjoyed a beer out with good friends and family!
Sunday the big boys played golf - Thanks Pilot for the deal - at Hell's Point and we hung out in our jammies and played and prepared for a FUN night of neighborhood trick or treating, a big pot of chili, lots of yummy food, the fire pit, beer and well more beer! Oh and the best part, good friends and family to hang out with.
After a wonderful weekend, lots of candy, a lot of laughs The Lynam's had to hit the road Monday. Work and surgery were ahead for them. ( Zeke is having his 5th ear surgery. This time they are re-building his ear drum, again.) So...we helped them pack, Zeke and Elliott went with me to take Sully to school, a few last hugs and they got on the road.
It was a wonderful weekend! I am already planning for them to return this summer and well, instead of golf I am thinking a trip to Ikea and Williamsburg! ;) (insert evil laugh)
Either way, I am so glad they got to finally meet baby Mason. It means a lot to me. They gave him a silver spoon just like the one they gave Sullivan when he was born. I love it and am so thankful for my baby brother and his sweet family who love us so. If G.G. and Pop could have been flies on our walls this weekend, they would have been grinning so hard their cheeks would hurt!
