Extreme Home Makeover

Ty and his crew were here building a new house for a family in Virginia Beach.  I really wanted to help do something but with a sick kid and a baby it was kind of hard.  Plus it was COLD!  On Saturday (Feb 5th) I ended up going with my friend Barbara and a few of her other girlfriends to help move in the furniture!  Barbara and Dan's body shop was a sponsor and her wonderful hubby Dan painted some furniture for the house.  I would tell you what but it is top secret!  ;)   Even though it was raining, chilly and chaos it was still a neat experience.  We did get to move some furniture and step in the house.  I did not see anyone famous but they were there.  One of the girls with us saw Ty pop his head out.  I love this show.  I cry every time I watch it.  The one thing I did figure out is that these houses can not be truly finished when the week is up.  This one wasn't I can tell you that but I feel sure the show will make it look finished.  I mean it was finished but not complete.  They were still painting the inside, finishing the fence, moving in furniture and lots of stuff 5 hours before reveal.  Either way, I am sure this family was so so grateful for their new home.  I am not sure of their story but when I find out when it will be on TV, I will let you know.  I doubt we are on TV but you never know...  Thank you Barbara for inviting me to be VIP with you!  It was a great time! Another wonderful memory made...
