Toot Toooooot

Yep, that is right folks I said Toot Tooootttt!  Zeke and Brett invited us to go to Tweetsie with them to go see Thomas the Train.  At first I was a little skeptical because Sullivan is not really into Thomas the Train, especially not the way Elliott is AND we had to take a trip to get Anna that weekend.  It was just going to be too much.  But...after thinking and talking to Brett it worked out that they got Anna for us and brought her to Tweetsie and we met them there.  And let me tell you, it was a FUN trip!
We drove up on Sullivan's birthday, after his half day at school and a birthday lunch date to Chic-Fil-A.  We got there late but they had already check into our room for us and Anna met us in the lobby!  She has changed soooo much since Christmas.  Just growing so fast and a real pre-teen.  Still as beautiful on the outside as in the inside.  We crashed the best we could with the EXCITED children!  Well mine anyway, poor Elliott had stayed up as late as he could waiting on us but finally gave in to sleep...
We slept in and hung out that morning and finally made our way to Tweetsie, stopping first to see our cousin Stevie at his shop.  He is a florist in Boone, NC and does amazing work.  Matter of fact, he did my wedding flowers.  I loved my flowers, esp my cake!   Wish I had a picture on this PC to share.
We finagled our tickets to be after 3pm which meant we got 2 days at the park instead of just 1.  So glad we did because it rained the first day.  We rode Thomas, shopped, played, rode rides and had a wonderful time.  All the kids had a blast, even Anna!  We left and headed to dinner and celebrated both Anna and Sullivan's birthday with a delicious dinner, games in the kids meeting room, cookie cake and gifts!  Sullivan even won a gorilla in the claw machine and was so excited!  I am sure the little guy cost us like $8 but the joy on his face was worth it. The next day we spent the first half the day at Tweetise again.  Riding more rides, panning for gold and gems, feeding animals, shopping, eating and lots more!  Tweetsie is a great place and one I highly recomend for a family trip!  That afternoon we headed to Blowing Rock, a sweet little town next to Boone.  Again another delish dinner, well after ice cream, and we headed to our rooms and sacked out.

And our weekend had come to an end...
Sullivan was sick.  We were all ready for our own beds but sad that the fun had to end.  Thank you G.G. and Pop for our tickets to Tweetsie!!  What a wonderful gift!  Thank you Zeke and Brett for inviting us!  It was a wonderful weekend, it truly was,  And we topped it off by meeting Alla, Colin and Hudson on the way back for lunch!  They showered us with gifts and we were thankful for the 1 little hour with them.  Every minute counts! We miss them so very much!  And....5 more hours and we were home sweet home and sacked out again, with smiles on our face and stories to tell...
