My Birthday Suprize

On my birthday Mike told me not to schedule anything for Wednesday. Turns out I had an appointment somewhere at 12:00. Knowing my amazing husband I had a good feeling it was an appointment at the spa. I was SOOOO right!!! He dropped me off at Ambiance Day Spa and Salon and said he would be back in a little while! I did not know what I was getting. I walked in and the lady told me I was getting a facial and a massage! I was thrilled! I have not had a facial in forever and I sure do LOVE a massage! My facial was awesome! The esthetician was so friendly and I really enjoyed having her work on me. She used a product called YONKA which made my skin feel terrific and I think made it look good too! I asked her about my massage and she said I was getting a 1 hour massage so, I debated on upgrading to add a brow wax or hot stones to my massage. I decided on the brow wax because I truly did NEED it. After my wonderful facial and brow wax I went to get my massage. I was explaining to the massage therapist about my shoulder and she said, "Since this is a hot stone massage I will not be doing any contortions or anything!" I about died! I was so excited but felt so bad that I added that brow wax now. The massage was terrific! One of the best I have ever had and I have had a lot of massages! I normally can not relax and I talk the entire massage but I was so relaxed that I even caught myself drooling one time. I can not believe I admitted that for you all to read but it was THAT good!!! Mike picked me up and I could not wipe the smile off my face. We went home and quickly got re-dressed for dinner. We were taking Sully to my girlfriend Kerry's house so we could go on a date. As we were getting ready Kerry called to tell me her hubby had just walked in from the doctor and does not have a cold but has strep throat. She said I was welcomed to still bring Sully but she felt she had to tell me. We decided to keep him with us and not risk him getting sick, especially right before Colin and Allison get here. It stunk for us but worse for them, They were headed back home to Boston tomorrow and now are not able to go. Plus the doctor wants to test them all for strep since it is so contagious. Instead of going to Bonefish grill we went to Otani Japanese Restaurant! He was so excited to see the fire, until it happened! He flinched at first, then tried to frantically blow it out and then he hid every time the guy squirted stuff on the grill. He was scared. After the cooking was done he enjoyed his food with chopsticks! What a little trooper! He had miso soup, ginger salad, shrimp, fried rice and teriyaki chicken and really enjoyed it! Then on the way out he got the hit the gong! It was a very nice birthday dinner. Mike is such a wonderful husband and always does all he can to make me feel special. He is really good at this stuff!! I felt very special on my 34th birthday and look forward to 35! Well, maybe the being spoiled part but not turning 35.
