A Watched Pot, Doesn't Boil
Last night Mike checked his e-mail and he had a message from Amazon saying that my camera was to arrive on the 15th! WHAT??? That is TODAY and it wasn't supposed to even be shipped until the 20th! I was ecstatic to say the least! I could barely sleep last night, then I dreamed it came and was a used, point and shoot that was junk! This morning I was busy getting us ready, hoping it would come before we left for our play date. But no, I was watching the pot, so it wouldn't boil. Got home after the play date and Mike said he got a message from UPS saying that is would be at our house between 8am and 7:30 pm. It was 1:30 and still was not there. So, we were not going anyway. Not even the gym! We cleaned the house, constantly checking out the front windows, listening for trucks and by 4:30 nothing. I started dinner (Allison Georger's enchiladas :) ) and at about 5:00 I peeked out of the front door and a big delivery truck was here! WHOOPY!!! I met the guy at the door and got the box and practically skipped inside the house...but the box was so light. I thought my camera woud be a bit heavier. As I looked at it a little closer I realized that is WAS NOT my camera but the parts to Sully's train table that were missing. You have got to be kidding me!!!! Is this a mean dirty joke???? Mike really thought I was going to cry. I mean my goodness... So I tried to busy myself and quit looking for the big brown truck. I finished fixing dinner, set the table and called the family to dinner...and there it was, the knock on the door. It was FINALLY here, my beautiful baby camera!!! Of course it had to arrive at dinner time, the busy part of my day, dinner, clean, bath, clean, books, Sully to bed and then I have my long awaited date with my Canon 40D!!! In the meantime we were working remotely with a computer guy (whom I highly recommend) to get the virus out of my computer, my other baby. I can not live happily with out my computer. So...now as I close this e-mail....I am off to continue my long awaited date with my new baby (reading the manual). Thank you Mom and Dad, you truely are the best! I love ya'll very much!
