It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's SUPERMAN!!!

We had a wonderful halloween day!  We woke up and rushed around to get ready for a full day starting with a soccer game!  The kids were..well lets just say NO ONE was focused!  Almost as if in a Halloween candy coma already!  After the game we made a quick stop at Chic Fil A and then off to the Virginia Zoological Park for ZOOBOO!  Sully finally got to put on his costume and "fly" around!  He trick or treated at the various booths, saw a few animals however they were mostly neglected due to candy being a priority and went on a hay ride before leaving.  The plan was to head home and take a nap before going house to house with our superhero.  Nap did not happen.  He was too pumped up.  Around 6 we decided it was time to leave our delicous chili smelling house and head out to trick or treat.  Mike had chili in the crock pop for a while now and it was smelling good!  As we walked out our neighbors who have a 4 year old and 8 year old were heading out too.  So we ended up sharing some adult "treats" (crown and ginger) and walking around with them.  Kids were everywhere and our parking lot at the club house was packed with people who came to our neighborhood to trick or treat!  Oh did I forget to mention that is was the only day in like 2 weeks that was over 80 degrees!  It was HOT!!  We had a wonderful time, got lots of candy and headed home to try to get rid of the candy we bought.  I popped in the corn bread and we headed to our neighbors house for an impomptu dinner and fun!  The kids played and we chatted!  It was a wonderful night.  It is so nice to have made friends with our neighbors.   We did not have that at our last neighborhood.  Next year we are planning a cul de sak party!!  Fun times!  So, Halloween was a wonderful day!  And to top it off The Clemson Tigers even won!  Now...to figure out what to do with all this candy.  My kids teeth will surely rot if he keeps eating it like he has been!  Happy Halloween!
