Getting ready for a spooktacular holiday!!!

Oh what a fun week we have had!  EVERY morning Sullivan woke up asking if it was Halloween yet.  He had already picked out his costume while we were in S.C. and could not wait to be Superman!  He asked me what I was going to be and I said, "Your mama!".  He said with lots of enthusiasm, "Yeah, and I can rescue you!"  Yes you can my dear....  So this week we got all Hallloween-ey!
On Monday night we made cookies!

Then on Wednesday night we carved pumpkins and watched The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.  Sullivan did not like putting his hand in his pumpkin so we did most of the work.  We did roast some of the seeds but got distracted and burnt them.  He loved the Charlie Brown cartoon but...Mike and I came to realize that most of the cartoons we watched as children are slightly violent.  Think about it, Tom and Jerry, Road Runner etc...  Anyway, it was a good Halloween-ey night.

Then on Thursday night we made chocolate covered marshmellows (Thanks D.Topping) and chocolate dipped almonds!  I ended up packaging the marshmellows and took them to Sullivans soccer game and are giving them to some of the neighborhood kids! They turned out so cute!  The almonds...well lets just say, they may possibly be all gone.  I'm just saying.  They were so good!

Needless to say we have had a week of getting really excited for Halloween! And today when Sully woke up...it was finally here!  He was so excited and in such a great mood!  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
