Today Sullivan stepped up from the 3 year old pre-school class to the 4 year old class. They really did a nice job. We watched them do their daily circle time which was neat to see. Sullivan was the flag holder today! He was so proud! I was really impressed with what they were working on with these kids in this few minutes of circle time. They did the pledge of allegiance, talked about the weather and discussed the calendar and the months. They also had quite a few songs they sang throughout. It was really cute.
After circle time, the children left the room and then began their presentation for us. Mike came from work to be there and our sweet neighbors/friends, Samantha and Ann even came to see Sullivan "step up". It was cute. They came out dressed as bumble bees and sang a few songs. After the songs, each child was presented with a certificate and crossed over from the 3 year olds, to the 4 year olds. They were all so proud of themselves.
After the ceremony and big thanks you's from his wonderful teachers, it was party time. We ate junk food and drank punch and the kids played! They played some music that the kids danced to throughout the year and they had a ball showing us their stuff! It was great! Seeing Sullivan at school, playing with his school friends was so much fun. It was a nice day! Our big boy is growing up and has learned so very much. We were very happy with his school and if things do not work out with the First Start program he will go back to The Church of the Resurrection Preschool! He has such wonderful teachers! (Oh, all you crafty moms would be proud! We made his teachers flower pots painted with chalk board paint with mint in them. It was super cute! I should have snapped a picture.) So, 3 year old preschool is over, pre-K, here we come!!!
In case you can't tell, the kids are flying airplanes, playing guitars, tap dancing and who knows what else... Pictures will never show the amount of cuteness that was in this room.
