PICTURE TO COME...
This year we decided to let Sullivan give coach pitch a try. He has played 2 seasons of t-ball and was starting to get silly on the field. Because he was starting to get silly and was not always silly we thought he may be bored. Thought maybe he needed to be challenged. Being that fall ball is the more relaxed season we thought it was a good time. We had lots of encouragement from friends who have children in the league as well. Even thought he technically is not old enough to play coach pitch, they let him. :) He is on the LS Cardinals and is the youngest one on the team. His coach is serious. He wants to teach these kids to play ball. And even though we still catch him drawing in the dirt or not paying attention he is getting it. His batting has improved dramatically. We need to work on fielding. He can throw a ball but his accuracy has declined in attempts to throw hard. Trying to work on this with him. He is having fun. I am the team mom and Mike is helping me with the duties. The main duty being keeping kids in the dugout in order and ready. That is a treat, let me tell you. It is fun though. So far, they have won both games! GO CARDINALS!!! I like that the rules are the rules as I am a rule follower by nature. I think it helps Sullivan want to hit better, run fast, throw better. He wants to play catcher but her is not ready yet. He can not catch that ball coming from the machine so it is dangerous. Been hard to explain that to him because he thinks because he caught the ball a few times and was so proud of himself that he can catch. Certainly shows his age. Looking forward to seeing more and more improvement and him really getting into the game. Oh, his favorite part so far has been getting to wear a cup. And he has worn it! He wore it for 2 straight days when we got it. He had worn it on his nose, on his head and yesterday I found it on one of his animals head. Yes we wash it! Still gross I know. BOYS will be BOYS I guess. Funny guy. Our little guy is growing up super duper fast!!! He is so much fun!
