Spring Break 2012

No, we did not party hardy.  No, we did not rent a house at myrtle beach with a group of people and stay sloshed in the sun.  And no, we did not hang a sheet and spray paint spring break on it and have everyone sign it that we hung out with.  (Yep, we did that once...senior year...high school.)  What we did do is this...
We soaked up as much Mike as possible.  Yup, sure did.  This story of our Spring Break 2012 goes like this...  After being home for a weekend Mike took off to get Anna.  He met her half way and brought her back for the week!  Blessing!  She was at the bus stop, went to have lunch with Sully and just really bonded with her brothers and had some QT with her daddy.  Her spring break was a week before Sullivan's.  She even got to be at his Kindergarten production!

On Friday after school, we headed to the lake.  The whole crew was there.  Saturday morning John Paul and Noni joined us.  Saturday afternoon we had our annual Easter Egg hunt and dinner!  The rest of the crew was there!  Unfortunately Maya and Ella were not able to be there until late that afternoon so we had another little egg hunt Sunday morning after the Easter bunny had come!  Yep, he came alright and spoiled these kids rotten.  Easter weekend was beautiful.  It was happy.  It was perfect!  John Paul and the girls took off Sunday and Noni and Anna Monday.  After sad goodbyes to Mike, they were gone.  (reality started hitting in that he was leaving about right now.)  So glad they mesh so well into my family.  It is so nice to all be able to get together like that.  Blessed beyond belief.  The rest of the week we just enjoyed being...we played corn hole, enjoyed some firefly, went on boat rides, played base ball and Mike and I took off for a 1 night Mommy/Daddy date to Charleston.  We so needed this!  Thanks again Mom and Dad.  We drove around Mt.P remembering... We saw my old spa which is now an antique store, we saw the place we got married, our old church, ate at our old go to restaurants, walked on the beach, walked the market, had dessert at Kaminskies, and just enjoyed strolling around, holding hands loving each other.  It was perfect.  I am still the luckiest girl in the world.  God could not have made a more perfect fit.  The rest of the week we resumed lake mode.  Fishing, sitting, relaxing, being.  Oh and one double date with Zeke and Brett.  It got a little wild but we were all up and moving the next morning!  And on Sunday we said our goodbyes and headed home.  We may not have had the fun we used to have back in the day but I can tell you, our Spring Break was perfect.  Exactly what we needed.  And our kind of fun!
