Birds the Word

Thanksgiving.  A time of year where we really reflect on what we are thankful for buy eating tons, spending time with family and sleeping lots.  Or something like that.  Doesnt that just sum up the thigns we are thankful for?  Family, friends, the jobs that pay for our delicious food, the cars we have to travel in, our safety, the and our health.  Thanksgiving is perfect!
This year we went to Noni's house to celebrate thanksgiving!  She cooked a beautiful bird and we had probably the most relaxing thanksgiving ever.  For real...took naps, stayed up late playing cards, planned to eat at 2 or 3 and ate at 5 because we all slept late, and stayed in jammies lots!  It was wonderful, other than the fact that I got sick.  However about 9 pm on Thursday I started feeling better, according to my perfect husband, wonderful mother in law and fabulous brother in law, just when dishes were done.  Thanks guys.  Chuckle chuckle.  Since Noni does not have sleeping room for all of us someone sleeps in the camper.  Typically that is JP and his girls but this year we got to sleep in the camper. The kids totally got a kick out of it!  It was perfect! Nice and cozy and quite comfy!  We had Anna all weekend which was wonderful.  She played so well with all the smaller kids!  She is amazing! And then she was such a good sport playing Phase 10 with the adults.  She did not shed a tear this year...  ;)  Love you Anna Banana!  More than you know! We will get your daddy next time!  Mason got to spend time with his Noni  if she could fight him away from Anna.  She is a natural.  I can't wait for her to take the babysitters course this summer.  Sully loved playing with the girls.  He was so happy and wore himself out!   Friday morning Mike and I got up and went shopping!  OK, we didn't get up super early but it was tough to be up at 6 am.  We spent the morning shopping and had a nice time!  Ran into his sister Diane which was a nice surprise!  We wish we were able to spend time with both of his sisters.  But...maybe one day.  Everyone had their own thing going on.  That is the part of growing up that stinks.  Well, it stinks in a wonderful way.  Families grow and then we each have our own and it in a way splits that original family...know what I mean?  Once upon a time I would have never considered spending Thanksgiving with out my parents and my brother but now, we all have larger family's and more people to love and love us and unfortunately there are only 24 hours in a day!  I think we should change that!  I would love to be able to do it all but then I guess it would not have been so wonderful.  It was so nice to just hang at Noni's house and relax and let the kids play!  We did get to see Tina and met her new husband who is a great guy!  So happy for them!  And we did go watch that terrible football game with my Ashers and Brian!  That was fun, well sorta!  It was awesome to see them and hang out but that game T-totally STUNK!  Disgusting.  Ash made an awesome spread of stuff to eat and told us it was our tailgate since we don't get to tailgate!  Love her.  And we exchanged some gifts and called it a night.
(Took camera, charged it at her house but forgot to take any pix Boo!) The next day we hit the road.  The drive home was rough...but well worth is. We did get a treat for lunch.  Alla met us in Charlotte for some Sully and Mason love.  Perfect lunch if you ask me.  After a long drive home we crashed and I know we were all very thankful for a wonderful thanksgiving and we know we have so much to be thankful for.
