kicking off Christmas

Before Christmas is totally not my style but..oh was it festive!  On Nov 20th we ventured to downtown Norfolk for the Grand Illumination and Christmas Parade!  We left a photo shoot and got there as quick as we could as we heard it would be a zoo!  We got ROCK STAR parking and a decent spot to stand!  STAND being the important word here!  My wonderfully sweet, smart, perfect hubby forgot our chairs!  I was in boots.  We were there over 1 hour before parade started and we were towards the middle.  So we stood for 2 hours before the parade even started.  Sure made the parade seem long. I still love him and will keep him! It was worth it though!  It was a terrific parade!  Sullivan loved it and Mason slept through most of it.  Mason's First Parade!  Many more to come...  It was s good time and a great way to kick off the holiday season, even though it wasn't even thanksgiving yet!
