Children of the Corn

Elliott and Laurel's other grandparents live on a farm and as he spends time with them he is learning about farming.  Well, Sullivan had been begging me for a while to go pick corn.  I was not sure about picking corn so I just let it go.  When we got to the Santee, Elliott started telling Sullivan how he has been corn picking. So Mom and I loaded up the kids and took off to pick some corn.  With the help of Mama, Brett's grandmother, we picked a whole bunch of corn!  The kids had a blast!  Sullivan was schooled.  Then, we had to shuck it, blanch it, store it and freeze it.  Boy did I feel domestic!!!  It was fun, and something that I had never done.
